What's behind the title "Plant-Project-Wellness-Manager"?

The title doesn't officially exist — because the role never officially existed either. The idea came out of a personal coaching session: I realized that in every project, I was thinking and acting far beyond my actual scope of work. Not because anyone asked me to, but because a project only truly works when someone keeps an eye on the whole system — technology, interfaces, organization, people, and decisions together. Because a project that truly works is a win for everyone: the client, the contractor, and the project itself. That's what I enjoy — no matter who I work for, it's been that way since my very first job sites. So I made up a title: plant engineering = Plant Project. The one who takes care of it all = Wellness Manager. I've been doing the job for years. The title, only recently.

Most engineering firms deliver a single discipline — piping design, structural steel, detail engineering. DBL thinks in terms of the whole system. We don't just take on one discipline — we take responsibility for the interfaces between them: between trades, between engineering and installation, between client and contractor. That's exactly where the most expensive mistakes happen — and exactly where our leverage is greatest.

What does the Win-Win-Win principle mean in practice?

Accepted Answer

It means a project is only truly successful once all three sides benefit: the client gets what they need, the contractor can work cleanly, and the project itself runs stably from start to finish. If only one side wins, it doesn't hold up — and that becomes obvious on the job site, at the latest. If there's no real added value for all three sides, we say so openly.
